Do you have trouble keeping New Year’s resolutions?
It’s that time of year again, and most of us will make resolutions that we do not keep.
Learn why we resist change in our lives and in our organizations.
- Understand the difference between technical vs. adaptive challenges.
- Actively work through your own change process for a self-identified improvement goal.
- Be able to explain how competing commitments prevent change.
Why is change so difficult? Despite having the desire and motivation to change, we so often revert back to the status quo and then wonder why we failed – even when the stakes are high. With the pull to maintain the status quo so strong, how can we make lasting change in ourselves and our organizations?
In this 4-hour seminar, based on the work of Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey, you will learn how your individual beliefs combine to create a natural immunity to change. You will have the unique opportunity to immediately apply the concepts learned by working through your own Immunity to Change map during the seminar. Specific strategies will help you challenge and overcome your immunity to change in order to succeed with your individual change efforts. Applications to organizations are also addressed.
